 Originally native to Australia, eucalyptus trees are now grown all over the world and used for their medical properties.  Eucalyptus oil, steam-distilled oil from Eucalyptus globulus, which is used as an expectorant and antiseptic, as a steam inhalant for asthma and respiratory infections and to soothe oral mucosae.
