Carrier Oil

Carrier Oil, also known as base oil or vegetable oil, is used to dilute essential oils and absolutes before they are applied to the skin in massage and aromatherapy. They are so named as they carry the essential oil onto the skin. Diluting essential oils is a critical safety practice. This highly volatile oil can be easily dissipated as soon as it is applied. This oil is not included with any concentrated aroma, unlike essential oils. Like essential oils, this oil doesn't get evaporated. It is the oil employed as natural as well as unadulterated oil. Many people feel organic oils are of higher quality. Carrier Oil shouldnt have a strong smell, excluding unrefined coconut oil. Rendered with a slight nutty aroma the oil doesn't affect the final product.
